Our presence was started from concern, care, and willingness to take part in prospering Indonesian. On December 9th, 2008, we were founded and directly involved in the micro economy of Indonesia. It is our commitment to move forward with micro business entrepreneurs.
This milestone is a pride of our business, Sahabat Mitra Sejati Savings and Loan Cooperative (formerly Mitra Sejati Cooperative). For the general public recognize us easily, we are operating under the name Sahabat with “From Us, For Us” spirit.
KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati, located in Jakarta, is a Cooperative with cross-provinces membership established based on the deed of establishment that has been ratified by the State Minister for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia through the Decree No.307/BH/MENEG.I/IX/2003 dated September 30, 2003. Subsequently, changes to the Cooperative’s Articles of Association were outlined through Notarial Deed of H. Rizul Sudarmadi, SH No.163 dated November 30th, 2015 in which the Notary Deed was received and recorded by the State Ministry for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia through letter No. It was later changed several times until finally changed through Notary Deed No. 12 dated April 27th, 2017, ratified by State Ministry for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia through letter No. 000186/PAD/Dep.1/VII/2017 dated July 25, 2017.
Sahabat UKM started its active operations through savings and loan unit in February 2009. At this early stage, Sahabat UKM expanded its business to East Java Region by opening branch offices at 5 locations, which are Jombang, Malang, Blitar, Tulungagung and Lamongan. The business was further expanded to Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua. Sahabat UKM has been supported by Sampoerna Strategic Group in form of capital needed for its activities.
In synergizing the activities and to grow its business faster, started from August 2011, Sahabat UKM started a collaboration with PT Bank Sahabat Sampoerna in form of joint financing scheme.
In the course of its activity providing capital to micro, small and medium enterprises, by the end of 2018, Sahabat UKM has grown rapidly and providing services at 25 provinces throughout Indonesia.
In line with Sahabat UKM’s growth, the trust level by public at large and by small and micro entrepreneurs also rises. To maintant the confident, Sahabat UKM position itself as a cooperative with the latest financing schemes with well risk management.
Consistent with its operation, effective from 17 December 2015, Mitra Sejati Cooperative (KMS) was changed its name to Sahabat Mitra Sejati Savings and Loan Cooperative. This was ratified by the Minister of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises’ Decree Number: 218/PAD/M.KUKM.2/XII/2015 dated 17 December 2015 on Approval of Amendment to Artciles of Asscotions of Mitra Sejati Cooperative to Sahabat Mitra Sejati Savings and Loan Cooperative.
