Tangerang, July 15, 2025 – The 78th Cooperative Day in 2025 was enlivened by a Talkshow themed “Strengthening Business Innovation and Institutional Capacity of Employee Cooperatives in the Digitalization Era as a Hub for Members’ Economic Welfare,” held at De Poris Coffee and Eatery, Tangerang City. The event was attended by dozens of cooperatives fostered by the Tangerang City Government.
KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati (KSP SMS) participated alongside the Tangerang City Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs Office. The event was officially opened by the Assistant for Economy and Development of Tangerang City, Ruta Ireng Wicaksono, who encouraged cooperatives to continue innovating to remain relevant in the digital era. “Amidst technological advancements, cooperatives must be managed in a modern way to be able to prosper their members,” he stated.
The talkshow featured Dr. Andini Eka Sari from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Ihsan Firdaus, CEO of SmartCoop, who shared insights on innovation and digital transformation in cooperative development. Luqmanul Hakim from KSP SMS conveyed that this activity served as a platform for cooperative collaboration, especially for employee cooperatives, to adapt to technology. “Cooperative digitalization is crucial to improve services and efficiency. We support this transformation so that cooperatives remain a solution for members’ welfare, in line with the spirit of the 78th Cooperative Day,” he said.
The event proceeded interactively with a question-and-answer session and participant dialogue. One participant, Arif Sopyan from PT Yuasa, stated that the talkshow was highly applicable and broadened insights into cooperative management in the workplace.
As a closing, the event was marked by the direct presentation of a souvenir by the Deputy Mayor of Tangerang, Drs. H. Sachrudin, to KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati as a form of appreciation for its active participation in strengthening employee cooperatives in the digital era.
