Jakarta, 11 June 2024 — Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Sahabat Mitra Sejati (KSP SMS) successfully held its Annual Member Meeting (RAT) for the fiscal year 2024 at Sampoerna Strategic Square, Jakarta. Carrying the theme “Weaving Togetherness, Strengthening Integrity, Building a Sustainable Cooperative,” this event served both as a moment of reflection and as a strategic step forward in shaping the cooperative’s future direction.

The meeting was attended by the Board of Management and Supervisory Board of KSP SMS, and honored by the presence of Mr. Henra Saragih, Deputy for Institutional Affairs and Digitalization of Cooperatives at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia.

In his address, Mr. Henra Saragih commended the organization of the RAT as a concrete demonstration of compliance with prevailing regulations and as an important forum for strengthening connections among the board, supervisors, and all cooperative members. He underscored the significance of collaboration and synergy among cooperatives to enhance the national cooperative ecosystem. One notable strategic opportunity highlighted was the involvement of existing cooperatives in the government’s initiative to establish 80,000 Koperasi Desa Merah Putih. This initiative is expected to become a catalyst for rural economic development while expanding the role and network of cooperatives across Indonesia.

Mr. Dedy Irja Pratama, Chairman 1 of KSP SMS, extended his gratitude to all members for their loyalty and contributions. He also shared an inspiring story of a member who successfully grew their business through the cooperative’s support, and introduced the Go Komodo program as part of KSP SMS’s ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable growth for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

As an expression of appreciation to its members, the committee organized a door prize draw with a total prize pool of IDR 15,000,000. Prizes included IDR 500,000 each for 10 winners, IDR 2,000,000 for 1 winner, IDR 3,000,000 for 1 winner, and a grand prize of IDR 5,000,000 for 1 winner.

The event concluded with a Special Member Meeting (RAK), during which Mr. Rizal Agil was formally appointed as the second Secretary of KSP SMS. The meeting successfully reached a quorum and approved the Supervisory Board’s Report, the Board of Management Accountability Report, and the 2025 Work Plan and Budget (RAB).

Through this Annual Member Meeting, KSP SMS reaffirms its commitment to growing sustainably together with its members, while continuing to contribute positively to the broader cooperative movement in Indonesia.
