Sumedang, July 14, 2026 – The Sahabat Mitra Sejati Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP) attended Ikopin University’s 62nd Anniversary, held on July 13–14, 2026, at the Ikopin University Campus in Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, West Java. KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati’s participation is part of its commitment to strengthening synergy with the academic world and other stakeholders to support the development of modern, adaptive, and competitive cooperatives.
Themed “Cooperative Literacy Movement for the Nation: Quantum Leap, Transforming Minds, Revolutionizing Co-ops for the Next-Gen,” the event brought together academics, government officials, and cooperative practitioners to discuss strengthening literacy, human resource development, governance, and innovation amid economic and technological developments.
On this occasion, the Founder of Ikopin University, Dr. Ir. H. Muslimin Nasution, emphasized the importance of education as a foundation for building the character and quality of cooperative members. Meanwhile, the Rector of Ikopin University, Prof. Agus Pakpahan, invited students to learn the best practices of cooperatives that are capable of sustainable growth. The national seminar also featured Dr. Dadang M. Naser, a member of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives, who emphasized the importance of cooperation as a foundation for cooperative development and for strengthening the national economy.
Luqmanul Hakim, Government Relations Officer at KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati, stated that KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati’s participation in the academic forum provided an opportunity to expand its network and absorb strategic ideas for cooperative development.
“Higher education institutions play a crucial role in generating innovation and human resources that will drive future cooperatives. Therefore, the synergy between universities and the cooperative movement needs to be continuously strengthened so that cooperatives can meet the challenges of the times,” he said.
During the event, participants participated in the national seminar and various discussion forums on strengthening the Pancasila economy, developing village cooperatives, improving the quality of human resources, and best practices in cooperative development.
Through this participation, KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati hopes that collaboration between the academic world, government, and the cooperative movement will continue to be strengthened to encourage innovation, improve the quality of human resources, and strengthen the role of cooperatives in national economic development.
